1. WHO MAKES THIS SITE

This site is a personal editorial project made by cat enthusiasts. It is not run by a litter manufacturer, a retailer, or a marketing agency. We publish one thing: an independent ranking of cat litters, scored under the fixed method described on our How We Test page.

2. INDEPENDENCE AND FUNDING

We accept no donations. We sell no advertising space. We take no sponsorships. We currently earn no affiliate commissions or referral fees. No brand has paid for, previewed, or edited a ranking or a score, and no brand can.

We buy the litters we test. If a brand ever sends an unsolicited sample, the review will say so plainly.

If we ever introduce affiliate links in the future, we will disclose them clearly on every page where they appear, right next to the links themselves, and they will never affect a ranking or a score. Until you see such a disclosure, there are none.

3. TRADEMARK AND AFFILIATION DISCLAIMER

worldsbestlitters.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand we review. That includes World's Best Cat Litter (R), a registered trademark of Kent Pet Group, which we rank and review under the same method as every other product.

All brand names, product names, logos, and trademarks that appear on this site belong to their respective owners. They appear here only to identify the products we discuss, which the law treats as fair use of a name for review purposes.

4. EDITORIAL DISCLAIMER

Rankings and reviews on this site are opinions, reached independently through the scoring method we publish. We separate observation from judgment: test results describe what we saw under our own conditions; verdicts are our honest view of what it means.

We work to keep everything accurate and current, but formulas, prices, and availability change without notice, so we cannot promise that every detail is correct at the moment you read it. Check the product label before you buy.

Nothing on this site is veterinary, medical, or professional advice. For any question about your cat's health, talk to a veterinarian.

If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page. We correct mistakes openly and date material updates.

Our content. The text, photographs, scores, and rankings here are the copyright of worldsbestlitters.com. You may quote brief excerpts with credit and a link back. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site wholesale, or present our work as your own.

Brands quoting us. A brand may cite its own published ranking or score with a dated credit and a link. A brand may not use our name, our scores, or any badge in paid advertising or on packaging without written permission, and may not imply that we endorse it beyond what the published ranking says.

External links. We link to manufacturer, retailer, and reference sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their policies.

No warranty. The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the bottom of this page reflects the latest version.

6. PRIVACY POLICY

What we collect. Nothing is required to read this site: no account, no signup, no personal details. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive what you send and use it only to reply or to act on a correction. If we ever offer an email newsletter, addresses will be used only to send it, never sold and never shared.

Hosting and cookies. The site runs on Squarespace. Squarespace places cookies that are necessary for the site to work and, where permitted, analytics and performance cookies that record information such as IP address, device type, approximate location, and pages viewed. We see this only as aggregate visitor statistics. You can read the details in the Squarespace Cookie Policy and the Squarespace Privacy Policy, both published at squarespace.com, and you can limit cookies through your browser settings or any cookie banner shown on the site.

What we never do. We run no advertising networks and no trackers of our own, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access or delete personal data. Write to us through the contact page and we will honor any reasonable request, including deleting correspondence you have sent us.

Children. This site is general audience reading about cat litter. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
